After swimming and an hour of Wii I am beat!  Ate great too.  Overall pretty happy with how the month has gone!

The whole point of me posting challenges was to get you thinking about what your doing and see if you can think of ways to change your routine – keep you motivated!  I am officially out of ideas for the challenge….LOL.  So your turn – what should we change today or try new?

OK your turn…how did you do today? Eat right/exercise?

I walked 3 miles today. Plus cleaned my house. My challenge for myself is to walk 3-4 times next week.

Ok. Ive gotten in the habit of eating better and exercising more this past month.I think a good challenge would be to invite someone close to us to join us.Im hoping my hubby and I can do more exercise together and make that a habit.

I ate well today but didn’t really exercise other than a nice walk at the park with my family and a lot of playing at the park. I like Cece’s challenge idea.

I also like Cece’s idea. I need someone else to exercise with and stay motivated so we could encourage each other.

Not doing well today. Headache turned to migraine with nausea so going to bed now :(

Busy day today. Had a baby shower – ate well because had a lot of healthy foods to choose from! Going to go for a run/walk now. I guess my challenge would be to mix-it up/cross train to keep your body guessing and to prevent injury. . . which, right now, I’ve not been doing too all as I’m stuck on my quick running workouts!

I cleaned out the house today. Bought a lot of veggies at the store!

My challenge would be for everyone to do some local community service. It is a great experience and most organizations will really put you to work. Maybe help clean your local animal shelter, help with a local clean up, even helping a neighbor repaint a fence. There are alot of things you can do in just a few hours to help someone in need and keep yourself busy enough to get in shape one act at a time!

Today is the end of a very busy weekend, so I am more than ready to get back in the gym tomorrow and make up for the eating that I have done this weekend. I knew this weekend would be bad so I kind of let go and enjoyed. Tomorrow I am hoping to get back on track with diet/exercise. My goal is to increase my workout time by 5-10 minutes. I know that doesnt seem like a lot but by the end of the week it could be an additional 20-40 minutes workout time.

I did ok today. Got all my exercise in early and ate all healthy foods. Although I felt a little sluggish. Back to work tomorrow.

I ate well and tried a bag salad called fresh express artisan salad. It had a nutty taste and some of the leaves were very bitter but I still enjoyed it. I walked today and I did my balance ball routine.

Hi all! I ate well today..kept it under the 800 calorie a day limit…I exercised a little, not as much as I would have liked..but I am getting ready for an exam on Thursday in Advanced Chemistry…will have to do double duty tomorrow…

I like the idea of getting someone to exercise and eat right with you is a good challenge. Ate okay and took it easy today…its been a looooong week.

I have enjoyed your challenges Sheri. I do like the idea of a work-out buddy. I haven’t been successful finding one but sometimes my 11yo daughter goes for bike rides w/ me and I like that. Mostly I do workout w/ weights at home. I have the videos or have them recorded on tv. My husband always asks why I don’t have them memorized, but it is kinda like my own personal trainer or motivator.

If anyone is interested in an accountability/online workout partner let me know.

Oh, in May we participated in a “challenge” from this one site called 100 miles in May. You could walk, run, bike, elliptical, whatever but to try to do 100 miles. It would have been easier with a pedometer or something but we just tracked it on the computer. Me and my daughter biked/roller bladed the 100 miles. It was really fun and challenging. Of course now it’s REALLY hot out, but I guess you could do treadmill or walk or whatever inside.

to previous poster: 800 calories a day is NOT healthy! you should NOT go under 1200!!!!!!!!!! Let’s eat lighter, but be smart! This is supposed to be healthy, not dangerous. It’s about making wise decisions, not going without nutrition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • christy on June 29, 2011 at 2:10 pm

I agree about the low calories, our bodies need a minimum of 1,000 JUST to live and maintain. It is not healthy and actually counter-productive when you restrict calories that low. You start eating up your muscles and other dangerous things that will cause long term metabolic problems. It’s so much better to do it healthily and make it a lifestyle so you don’t have to “diet”. Weight bearing exercises are where it’s at because you burn fat all day and to feed your muscles you need a good amount of protein and healthy fats.
