SwagFit Challenge Day 28: Future Goals?

WOW we are getting close to the end of this little challenge – day 28!  I did OK today – ate well but didn’t get an exercise in.  Planning on going kayaking tomorrow so that should make up for today!

Challenge:  What are your future goals?   Do you see yourself staying on the same course?  Know of any changes you plan on making?

    Eating okay today. . . as usual, hoping to get some exercise in once the kiddos go to bed though I am TIRED today! I’m hoping to continue to improve on my overall, everyday diet. Less refined carbs and sugars, more organic fruits and veggies, etc. I’d also like to improve on cross training as I’m stuck in a running routine!

    Eating well. I am new to barley and had recently bought some pearled barley. Last night I put it in the slow cooker so that it was ready this morning. Added a little honey (seriously just a bit because the cinnamon and banana flavored it nicely), some cinnamon, and some fresh banana. It was so yummy and soooo healthy. I’m definitely going to do that again in the future. And my favorite part about summer is all of the yummy fresh fruit that is in season and on sale!

    My least favorite part of summer… the heat. No exercise yet today though I plan on doing some weights right before bed when it starts to cool off. And while clipping coupons (about 2 months behind… eek!) I am going to do stuff like single leg lifts and squats.

    Ate in moderation today and drank lots of water. Cardio class starts in 25 minutes but not sure if i’m going yet because the kids are kind of fed up with being in the car today (lots of errand running today.) I’m dressed to workout so we’ll see in 15 minutes if i can get them in the car quietly.

    I just found out I’m pregnant with my 3rd child, so pauses the weight loss journey for me. I’ll still be exercising daily until most likely 8 months if its like my other pregnancies. Future food goals are to continue my journey of eliminating most processed foods. I want to make a new homemade alternative to a regularly used processed food once I month. This month is crackers! Just need 2 out of the 4 ingredient in it and I can make it.

    It rained today, so no pool today. I ate great and played with my daughter. Not much in the way of exercise, but fun anyway. (:

    Today was ok but I didn’t exercise yet. I ate healthy food and drank water though. The only thing that I think that I would challenge myself with is doing more stretching. I think that this keeps your body limber and is very relaxing.

    My clothes are a little looser and I have more energy so I definately want to keep this up. I asked my husband and he wants our whole family to eat better and exercise more.

    I plan to exercise regularly from here on out. I am thinking 4 days a week will be a good goal to stick with. Today I went swimming, which was great. However, I did eat a grilled cheese sandwhich for dinner :( but it was all I had in the house.

    I ate well and healthy today. I drank plenty of water, no pop or sweet drinks. I exercised by walking and doing a routine on the balance ball. I also did 80 situps and plan to continue this up for the whole summer at least until it gets cold again.

    I did much better today. I feel good having gotten back into the gym. I had a great workout. I did an extra 5 min on the elliptical and I actually RAN a mile. Usually I walk/run but I ran the whole thing so I was feeling pretty good about that. I am trying to work up the nerve to do a class at the gym, but I always wuss out because I feel weird. But I am wanting to try one soon so we will see!

    I want to continue eating better and find ways to exercise. And to carve out time to make that happen.

    Went for a 2 mile walk with my daughter last night. My husband cooked ribs on the grill, I only had two, but we also had cole slaw, potatoe salad, and baked beans! I took small portions and still don’t think I exceeded my calories for the day. My goad for the future is to keep this up and not give up. I can have a cookie now and then, just not daily, etc. I will allow myself to gain during vacation, but I will still be aware of everything I put into my mouth.

    I took my measurements at the beginning of this challenge because i wanted a true indicator of my results. I don’t want to rely on a scale because weight can fluctuate for so many different reasons. I have been swimming for an hour daily five days a week since this challenge began. I have cut out all processed foods and eating organic produce, whole grains and lean proteins, and drinking a gallon of water every day. I have lost 3 inches from my waist, 4 inches from my hips and added an inch to my chest! I will be sticking to this program for a while!

    I felt under the weather today so I didn’t exercise, but didn’t eat much either and didn’t drink any wine (a yummy calorie-laden treat). Going forward, I’d like to eat less white pasta and rice and switch to whole wheat pasta and brown rice.
