This is the first time I seen this what a great idea I will join for the next 30 days!

I did awesome today. Did a morning run with my sister (was cut short because of the heat already in the morning and I do NOT do heat) then straight into the pool. I tread water for 10 minutes straight then did regular swimming and relaxing for a while. Then I swam later on in the day as well where I did some more exercise. Ate well too.

I had an epic fail when it came to my eating during my 1 1/2 week trip (gain a whopping 7 lbs!) but because of the work I did before, during (exercise wise), and after the trip, it definitely was not as bad as it could have been. I have lost 4 of those pounds so far and it has been one week (tomorrow) since I got back. If I hadn’t been working out and eating right before and after the trip, I know for a fact that I would have gained more and that it would have been harder to lose it again.

      Congrats, Rae! Keep it up!

Wow! Isn’t it scary how fast time flys by, sometimes! Well, today ate just so-so but played outside with the kids at the pool and am off to exercise now that they’re asleep! I am happy that I’ve started to cross train and am taking the steps to take care of my plantar fasciitis so that I can continue to run pain free (hopefully)! This has been a great way of staying motivated and accountable! I would love some feedback as to what is the best “video game console” to also work out with as well as have the little ones “exercise”/keep busy with me while I exercise. . . Thanks so much, Sheri! Hope you’re having an awesome vacation!

I had a healthy hoagie with every kind of vegetable you can think of. I’m going to try and do a little more exercise this evening. This has been a very interesting month; I’ve accomplished quite a lot and lost those pesky 20 pounds. This has been a great experience for me and I want to continue to live healthy not just to be thin but to start to treat my body and myself well.

I cant believe it has been 30 days! I started working out about 8 weeks ago and have lost about 10 pounds. I am hoping now that I am getting on track eating better it will start coming off faster. I pushed myself tonight and did an extra 10 minutes at the gym. I did a total of about 4 miles between the treadmill and elliptical so I was pretty pumped about that. Congrats everyone on 30 days!

I can’t believe it has been 30 days already!! I did okay today, exercised some and ate ‘okay’. I will be keeping the pace or picking it up some for the next 30 days. lets see where is goes.

  8. Stacey on June 29, 2011 at 9:33 pm

Ate fairly well today! Then did a 27 hard and hilly bike ride with the local cycle club ladies! Awesome!!!!

Thanks to being motivated by your challenge, I have now made exercise part of my daily routine. I wake up before my kids and do a 30 minute workout each morning. I feel like I have more energy already!

Congrats! I have been following these posts, but this is the first time I am commenting. Because of the last 30 days, my sister and I are starting another 30! I loved your ideas, and will be trying to follow some of your ideas again! GREAT IDEA!!!

Yeh!! Great job everyone! This is the second time I have commented but have been participating all month long.
My goal was going to my sisters high school reunion in our hometown on July 2nd. I am so very proud to report that I dropped not one but 2 dress sizes!! My sister was in Chicago shopping at the outlets and she picked me up a beautiful Ann Taylor ( $30.00) summer dress and Gap heels (15.00)! Something that I have never worn before.
I am over the moon happy with my accomplishment and I will be on that dance floor all night with my sis!
PS- I added the prices of the outfit because this is a frugal website AND I am bragging at my sisters great deals she snagged.

I’ve been reading some of these on and off but haven’t really been following along. This monday I started couch to 5k and have been paying attention to what I eat. I have about 10lbs to lose and feel very motivated now. Thanks for these posts!!!

  17. christy on June 30, 2011 at 9:18 am

Yay! Congratulations to everyone! I can’t believe it has been 30 days. They say it takes 21 days to change a habit so if you have started a new healthy lifestyle then make it a HABIT and you will continue to succeed!

I have really enjoyed this challenge and reading others stories. If anyone is interested in an accountablility/online workout partner let me know.

Hope you are enjoying your vacation Sheri!

I have enjoyed this challenge. At first , I thought it was interesting but I didn’t see that there was anything to gain but I was wrong. I looked forward to reading everyone’s comments and I was surprised at how encouraging it was to do so.

I managed to workout one hour a day five days a week over the course of this challenge. As a matter of fact, on the weekends I would feel a little guilty about not going to the pool. I have lost 8 inches and one size. My fitness and aerobic capacity has improved enormously. My husband has even become motivated because of the results I have achieved.

Thank you so much everyone for the motivation and the forum. I am going to continue this challenge until I reach my goal, which is about three more sizes to go.

  19. egregg on June 30, 2011 at 12:37 pm

Well this 30 days has been a roller-coaster and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I struggled a lot with my eating and will continue to but i’ve been implementing new steps slowly to help me with it. Hopefully they will work. Exercise wise its been great but exercise has never been my problem. Now that I’m pregnant again I clearly can’t lose weight but continuing to eat healthy and exercise daily will help achieve a healthy pregnancy and labor
