Here’s a cute and frugal idea to help give your backyard a little bit of life!

My girls (ages 16 and 7) helped me paint this onto one panel of our backyard fence.  Not only was it very inexpensive to do but it was loads of fun!   We tend to be a bit crafty around our home and we are always looking for ways to explore our artist side.

We used ArtDeco Patio Paint (specifically used for the outdoors).  I found an inexpensive set on Amazon but you can get this at any Arts & Craft stores and you can even find it at your local Walmart stores.

The only color missing from this set is White.  I would recommend getting the primary colors set because you can always mix your colors to get what you want from that set.

I am a big fan of Donna Dewberry (One Stroke Painting Techniques Artist)!  I found one of her easiest outdoor painting books for under $5 on Amazon!  If you’ve ever wanted to attempt painting and simple don’t have an artistic bone in your body then I suggest to try Donna Dewberry’s techniques!  She is extremely thorough and will have you painting like a pro almost within minutes!  I also have her 10 pack –One-Stroke Brush Set!

We grabbed some scenic images from the internet for inspiration but I want to tell you about a new website called Craftsy!  It’s a great place to get loads of inspiration and you can also score some pretty good deals on craft supplies as well!

Check it out!  You’ll like it, I’m sure of it!

Enjoy!
