Wendy’s to Close 300 Restaurants This Year!

Looks like even Wendy’s can’t escape the fast-food slump. The chain just announced plans to close around 300 restaurants across the U.S. starting later this year.

According to reports, many of these spots are underperforming, especially in areas where lower-income customers have been cutting back thanks to rising food prices and tighter budgets.

Wendy’s says the closures are part of a move to focus on stronger, more profitable locations, hoping to give their overall numbers a boost. Still, it’s a big shake-up for fans who rely on that quick Frosty or Baconator run.

Sales have reportedly dropped about 4% in 2025, and even with those $5–$8 meal deals, the chain is struggling to pull in new customers. It’s another sign that even big-name fast food isn’t immune to changing spending habits.
