I love trying new stuff — especially when it’s free. And getting paid on top of it? Even better!

There are NO affiliate links in this post. Just sharing free programs I have used and loved over the years!
I’ve been doing product testing and sharing new programs for over 15 years — and it’s one of those things that sounds too good to be true but is actually completely legit. Brands need real people to test their products before they hit shelves and they’re willing to pay you in cash, gift cards, or free products to keep in exchange for your honest opinion.
Here’s the thing though — you aren’t going to get rich doing this. I have scored some really great freebies over the years (best one was a $200 Sonicare toothbrush!) but it does take some work and honestly a fair amount of luck. Being in the right program at the right time is a big part of it.
That said — it’s something you can do from your phone while watching TV so why not?

How to Get Free Products to Test at Home
Getting started is easier than you think. Sign up with the sites below, complete your profile fully, and start applying for campaigns that match your interests. The more active you are the more products you’ll receive.
Is it legit? Yes — but never pay to join. Legitimate companies are always free to sign up with. If any site asks for payment information upfront it is a scam — walk away immediately.
How much can you earn? Simple surveys and reviews run $3–$50. In-depth product testing pays $50–$200. Focus groups can pay up to $500. Most people do this as a side hustle for extra cash and free products — not a full time income. But it adds up fast when you’re signed up with multiple sites.
Free General Product Testing Sites
These platforms cover a wide range of product categories — great starting points for anyone new to product testing.
BzzAgent
This is actually the one I got the toothbrush from! One of the most established product testing platforms out there and one I’d recommend to anyone just getting started. BzzAgent sends out BzzKits packed with full-sized products — everything from cosmetics and snacks to small appliances. These aren’t sample sizes either — full-sized products you actually get to keep.
Tip for Success: Engagement is everything here. Connect your social media accounts and write honest detailed reviews for every campaign you’re selected for. The more active and reliable you are the higher value products they’ll send your way.
Influenster
If you love beauty and wellness products this one is a must. Influenster is best known for their VoxBoxes — boxes packed with multiple full-sized items sent straight to your door for free. The focus is heavily on beauty and wellness but they cover a wide range of categories.
Tip for Success: Keep your Impact Score high by consistently reviewing products — even ones you bought yourself — and filling out the daily “snaps” which are quick mini-quizzes. This shows Influenster you’re an active and reliable reviewer and dramatically increases your chances of getting selected for the best boxes.
Home Tester Club
This one is a hidden gem — especially if you’re into grocery and home goods. Home Tester Club focuses on everyday products like new cleaners, frozen foods, and pet products. They have a very high volume of testing opportunities which means more chances of getting selected compared to some of the more competitive platforms.
Tip for Success: Apply for every campaign that fits your household — the high volume of tests means your odds of selection are much better here than on most other platforms. Complete your profile fully and review promptly after receiving products to stay in good standing.
