Free Athletic Shoe Testing Programs

Shoe Testing Programs to Get FREE Shoes!

Did you know companies like Nike, Adidas, Brooks, and New Balance need real people to test their newest shoes? They’re looking for everyday people to try out athletic shoes and provide feedback on comfort, fit, and durability.

The best part? You can try brand-new shoes for FREE! No purchase necessary, and you might even get to test sneakers before they’re available in stores!

There’s just one catch: Most programs require you to return the shoes after testing, and applying doesn’t guarantee you’ll be selected. But if you love trying new shoes, it’s definitely worth a shot!

1. Brooks Product Testing

Brooks recruits runners to test new footwear and apparel before release. Testers provide feedback that helps the company improve its products.

Applicants must live in the United States and be at least 18, or 14 and older with parental consent. Shoes must be returned when requested.

Applicants must be at least 18, meet the activity requirements and agree to keep testing details confidential. Products must be returned after testing.

We’ll update this section if a new official application becomes available.

How Do You Become a Shoe Tester?

  1. Choose a program: Visit one of the official brand websites above.
  2. Complete your profile: You may need to provide your shoe size, measurements and activity level.
  3. Wait for selection: Companies match applicants to specific products and testing requirements.
  4. Test the shoes: Follow the instructions, track your activities and provide feedback.
  5. Return the products: Most programs require testers to send the shoes back when testing ends.

Can You Keep the Free Shoes?

Usually not! These programs are designed to help companies evaluate new products, not give away free sneakers permanently.

However, getting to try new shoes before they’re released can still be a pretty fun opportunity, especially if you’re already running, walking or working out regularly!
