2024 Veteran’s Day Freebies & Deals
In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11th, here is the list of freebies & deals for all Active Duty Military & Veterans!
You will need to present a veteran ID card, military ID card, discharge document, or a driver’s license with a veteran designation to get these deals. Please note some of these are estimated discounts based on previous years. Some restaurants haven’t announced them yet. We will update as new offers are released. As always call before making a special trip!
Non-Restaurant Deals for Veterans:
B&B’s for Vets: Most of the inns are offering one free room night so you can enjoy the local Veterans Day celebrations. Space is limited, so be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible.
Colonial Williamsburg: Colonial Williamsburg is offering FREE admission during Veterans Day weekend to all active duty Military, Reservists, Retirees, Veterans, National Guardsmen and their immediate dependents.
Great Clips: On November 11, retired and active service members can visit any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut or a free haircut card. Additionally, non-military customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day at a Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut card to give to a service member in thanks for their service. The free haircut cards can be redeemed throughout the year.
Lowe’s: 10% off for Veteran’s – now valid all year long!
Meineke Car Care Centers: Free Basic Oil Change on Veteran’s Day at participating locations – need to call the local store to see if they are participating. **Not verified for 2021 but they have offered this in previous years.
National Parks: Free entrance on Veteran’s Day (includes entrance fee)
Publix: Veterans, active military personnel, and their families are invited to save 10% on groceries. You will need to present a veteran ID card, military ID card, discharge document, or a driver’s license with a veteran designation.
Rite Aid: All veterans and active military personnel who show their military ID at any Rite Aid or Bartell Drugs store location will receive 10% off.
Sport Clips: On Veterans Day, November 11th, participating Sport Clips locations will provide free haircuts to veterans and active duty service members as well as donate $1 for every haircut service provided on that day. Click here to find a participating store near you.
Target: 10% off a single purchase with verification.
Restaurant Deals for Veterans:
7-Eleven: Active-duty, retired, veteran, guard, reservists and family members get a free coffee or Big Gulp on November 11. You need to download the 7-Eleven app and link a Veterans Advantage membership to your account to claim this offer.
54th Street Grill & Bar: Free entree up to $12 in value for Veterans Day for both vets and active-duty military. They’re also running a contest for a 54th Street Grill gift card if you post a photo to the restaurant’s Instagram page.
Applebee’s: Get a free meal, from a special menu.
BJ’s Restaurants & Brewhouse: All vets and active military get a free entree and Dr. Pepper (under $14.95).
Baker’s Square: All veterans and active duty service members receive a free meal on Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
Bar Louie: On Veteran’s Day, Bar Louie is inviting all active and retired military to enjoy a complimentary Bar Louie Craft Burger on the house! Available all day and late-night, veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a complimentary selection of a Bar Louie craft burger favorite such as the That’s My Jam Burger, Bourbon BBQ Burger, GastroBurger and more. Recipients must show a valid military ID to redeem offer, and offer is valid for dine-in only.
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar: On Veteran’s Day, Bad Daddy’s is offering a free BD’s All American Burger and a side of chips from 11am – 3pm. *Proof of service required.
Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a select menu on November 11th. Dine-in only, beverage not included. Show proof of military service.
Bonanza Steakhouse: All former and current military servicemen and women enjoy a free buffet (beverage not included). Only at participating locations.
Bonefish Grill: 10% off their check all day, every day. In previous years they have offered free Bang Bang Shrimp on Veteran’s Day but this hasn’t been verified yet.
Boston Market: Free Brownie or Cookie with any purchase for all veterans, service members, and their families. No ID required.
Bruegger’s Bagels: Veterans and active military members may enjoy a free small coffee.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans & Active Military Members will receive 5 Free Boneless Wings with choice of sauce and a free non-alcoholic beverage all day. Dine-in only. Military ID or proof of service required. Valid at participating locations.
California Pizza Kitchen: Free pizza, full-size salad, or pasta from the special Veterans Day Menu.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill: Get your free calamari with the purchase and a valid ID for active-duty military and Veteran at Carrabba’s on Veterans Day. They are also offering an ongoing 10 percent Heroes Discount for all servicemen and women, police officers, firefighters, and first responders.
Charlie Browns Steakhouse: Free Lunch (11/11 11 am-3 pm)
Cheeseburger in Paradise: Receive a complimentary Veteran’s Burger with fries to veterans, active and retired military personnel on Veterans Day. Dine in only & you must purchase a beverage.
Chevys Fresh Mex: On Veterans Day, Chevys Fresh Mex will offer a complimentary menu item (from special menu) to all active and retired military personnel. Special Veterans Day menu includes fajitas, burritos, tacos and more.
Chicken Salad Chick: Veterans get a free Original Chick meal, which includes a chicken salad scoop or sandwich, side, pickle and cookie, with a drink.
Chili’s: Free meal from a special menu at most locations. The special menu includes Chili’s signature Chicken Crispers, Margarita Grilled Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas, Just Bacon Burger, Oldtimer with Cheese, Cajun Chicken Pasta, or a bowl of chili, soup or salad.
Chuck E. Cheese’s: Special offers for military families. ID required.
CiCi’s Pizza: Free buffet on Veterans Day, including pizza, salads, dessert, and more.
Cracker Barrel: Free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake when you visit Cracker Barrel this Veterans Day.
Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam.
Dickey’s: On Nov. 11, Dickey’s is giving away a FREE Pulled Pork Sandwich* to veterans who use the code VETFREE. Veterans can redeem the offer in-store for carryout and online for pickup all day at their nearest Dickey’s.
Dunkin Donuts: Free donut.
Famous Dave’s: All former and current military personnel will receive a free two meat Combo.
Fazoli’s: On November 10-11, Fazoli’s is offering active military and veterans a FREE regular spaghetti with meat sauce or marinara sauce. Offer valid with military ID. Participation may vary, please see your local Fazoli’s for details.
Firebirds Grill: Free Meal at participating locations.
Fogo de Chao: Customers with military ID get 50% off food at Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouses, plus 10% off meals for up to three other guests.
Friendly’s: On Veteran’s Day, Friendly’s is offering a Free burger and fountain drink.
Golden Corral: Golden Corral is celebrating Military Appreciation Night, from 5pm – close at ALL locations. FREE Thank You dinner (buffet and beverage) for all active-duty military personnel, retirees, and veterans of the U.S. Military. Disclaimers: Available for dine-in only / No military identification required / Free dinner not available for spouse or family members.
Green Turtle: On Veteran’s Day, Active and retired members of the military will receive 15% off their meal (dine-in only, must show ID & does not include alcohol).
Grub Kitchen and Bar: Veterans, reserve, retired and active-duty military with valid ID or wearing their uniform can enjoy a free entree at Grub Kitchen and Bar. Grub restaurants also offer a 10 percent discount year-round for veterans and active-duty military personnel.
Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream: On Veteran’s Day, Happy Joe’s invites any veteran or acting military personnel to enjoy a complimentary Little Joe pizza of their choice for dine in (where available) or carryout at participating Happy Joe’s locations. Share your military hero’s story on the Happy Joe’s Facebook page and we will randomly draw one name to win free pizza for year (one large pizza a month for 12 months)
Hooters: Free Meal at participating locations.
Houlihan’s: Receive a free entree from a select menu on Veteran’s Day 11/11 with proof of veteran status or active service in the military.
Hy-Vee Free Breakfast: Many Hy-Vee stores celebrate Veterans Day each year by offering a free breakfast buffet to all veterans and active-duty military members as a way of thanking veterans and military members for their service.
Huddle House: Active military and veterans treated to MVP Breakfast Platter on Nov. 11
IHOP: Free red, white, and blue pancakes with blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream from 7 am to 7 pm.
Joe’s Crab Shack: On November 11th, all veterans get one meal free.
Ikea: Free entree for Veterans.
Krispy Kreme Free Doughnut & Coffee: Get 1 free donut and small coffee on Veterans Day.
Krystal: Krystal offers military and vets a free sausage biscuit from 6-10:30 AM. Available both to dine-in and drive-thru guests.
Little Caesars: Free $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo on Veterans Day.
Logan’s Roadhouse: On Veterans Day, Logan’s is inviting active and retired service members to enjoy a free meal off its special Veterans Day menu from 3-6 p.m. The menu includes Bayou Shrimp, Chicken Tenders, Chopped Steak, Pork Chop, Pulled Pork Plate, and Steak Tips, as well as side options including Chips, Cole Slaw, Corn, Fries, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes and Rice.
Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que: On Veterans Day (Nov. 11), active and former military can enjoy a free Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one side. Must show proof of service.
Mimi’s Cafe: Free entree with the purchase of any non-alcoholic drink at Mimi’s Cafe on Veteran’s Day, 11/11. Veteran’s can choose a free breakfast, lunch, or dinner entree from a select menu.
Mission BBQ: Veterans and active duty will receive a free sandwich and slice of cake n Veterans Day, 11/11.
Mr Brews Taphouse: On November 11, Mr Brews is donating 10% of their total sales to Folds of Honor, the non-profit organization that provides scholarships to family members of fallen or disabled military. Dine at your local Mr Brews Taphouse from 11am-9pm, and donate to the cause!
O’Charley’s: Veterans can visit O’Charley’s on the day of Veterans Day to get a free $10 meal.
Old Chicago Pizza: On Veteran’s Day, Old Chicago is offering a Free appetizer.
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt: On Veteran’s Day, Orange Leaf is offering $2 off any item
Perkins: Active duty, retired military, and veterans are invited to their local Perkins to enjoy a Free Magnificent Seven® meal.
PJ’s Coffee:On Veteran’s Day, PJ’s is offering a Free 12oz hot coffee or cold brew iced coffee for Veterans and Active-DutyMilitary.
Red Mango: On Veteran’s Day, Red Mango is offering $2 off any item
Red Lobster: Red Lobster is giving away FREE printed meal vouchers* for Veterans Shrimp & Chips from 11:00am to 4:00pm local time on November 11.
Red Robin: Veterans and Active Military who are Red Robin Royalty members can redeem their FREE Tavern Double Burger with Steak Fries. The offer will be automatically uploaded to your dashboard
Romano’s Macaroni Grill: Free Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs & Spaghetti.
Shoney’s: Free All you can eat breakfast bar and pork sandwich to all Veterans and Active Duty Military members.

Twin Peaks: On Veteran’s Day, Twin Peaks is offering a Free Veterans Day Lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Veterans receive a FREE meal from a select menu. ACTIVE & RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL **One item per person • Dine-in only
Village Inn Free Breakfast: All veterans and active duty service members receive a free meal on Veterans Day (Nov. 11). Village Inn also offers a military discount of 10 percent off all year long.
Walk-On’s: On Veteran’s Day, Walk-On’s is offering a free scholarship burger and fries on for dine in guests. Not available at Purdue or Las Vegas locations.
White Castle: Receive a free breakfast combo or Castle Combo Meal #1 – #6.
Wild Wing Cafe: Veterans, come in and get 6 wings or nuggets in your favorite made from scratch sauce, with a purchase of a drink on Veterans Days. Participating locations only.
Yard House: Veterans and active-duty military will receive a complimentary appetizer on November 11 with valid military ID. Offer is valid for dine-in only.
