Need a trim? Now’s the perfect time to head to Great Clips — you can save $5 on your next haircut with this easy coupon!
My family actually uses a local great clips and I got super annoyed the other day when I couldn’t find a coupon…grrr! Went hunting and found the latest one so you won’t be in the same boat I found myself in the other day!
Most locations accept it, and you can send it to yourself now to use later (just note it may take up to 24 hours to arrive).
💇 Haircut pricing may vary by location, but here’s a general idea:
- Adult haircuts: around $21
- Kids (10 & under): $19
- Seniors (65+): $19

Tips for Saving at Your Local Great Clips
Getting a haircut doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Great Clips offers plenty of ways to trim the price (pun intended!). Here are some of the easiest ways to save at your local shop:
1. Watch Local Facebook Pages
Many Great Clips salons are independently owned and run their own Facebook pages. They often post flash coupons, local specials, and community promotions just for nearby customers. A quick “Like” could save you money on your next cut.
2. Sign Up for Text & Email Alerts
Join the Great Clips mailing list or opt in to text alerts. You’ll get exclusive coupons and heads-up on limited-time offers right to your phone. These are often bigger discounts than what you’ll find floating around online.
3. Use the Great Clips App
The app is free and lets you check in ahead of time to skip long waits. It also has a section for local coupons and deals tied to your preferred salon.
4. Check Seasonal Promos
Back-to-school, holidays, and even local sports tie-ins often mean haircut coupons. Keep an eye out around these times for $5–$6 off coupons.
5. Look for Partner Deals
Sometimes Great Clips teams up with sports teams, grocery stores, or local events. Tickets, receipts, or flyers can include bonus coupons for discounted haircuts.
6. Rebook Smart
Ask at checkout if they have upcoming promotions. Stylists will often tell you the best days or weeks to come back for the lowest price.
👉 Pro Tip: Stack local coupons with Great Clips’ already affordable pricing, and you’ll rarely pay full price for a haircut again.
It’s important to note that the specifics of services, pricing, and policies can vary by location and may change over time. If you’re considering a visit to Great Clips, it’s a good idea to check the official website or contact your local salon for the most up-to-date information.
I’m not saying that you should start cutting your own hair (unless you’re into that sort of thing), but there are ways to save a few bucks here and there.
Here are a few of my favorite tips for saving on haircuts in general:
– Search for Haircut Coupons. We post Great Clips coupons that will score you haircuts for only $5.00 quite often. Just by simply searching in Google for your local shops will usually find you great coupons. Some will be promotional and some will be for simply signing up for emails. Try different shops whenever you find new coupons!
-Get a haircut during off hours. Most salons offer discounts for appointments booked outside of their peak hours. So if you don’t mind getting your haircut at, say, 11am on a Tuesday, you can save yourself some money.
-Ask for a student discount. If you go to a salon that offers training to up-and-coming stylists, they may offer discounts for customers who are willing to be their guinea pigs. Just make sure you’re specific about what you do and don’t want done to your hair!
-Check out a local barber college or beautician school. You can get haircuts and colors super cheap but it does take time to get in. Normally there are wait lists. The students are supervised by instructors, so you don’t have to worry about them botching your hair.
-DIY it. If you’re really on a budget, there are plenty of tutorials online for giving yourself a basic haircut at home. Plus you can usually pick up clippers and hair cutting supplies pretty cheap. Just make sure you have sharp scissors and the patience of a saint. 😉
