It’s BACK! Ibotta is bringing back its popular FREE Thanksgiving Turkey offer for 2026, and this year you can score FREE Thanksgiving side dishes, too! I’ve been sharing this Thanksgiving freebie for years, and it’s always one of my favorites.
There’s a twist this year, though! Instead of automatically getting a free turkey, you’ll need to complete a personalized cashback bonus in the Ibotta app to unlock your offer. The good news is that both new and existing Ibotta users can participate, so here’s everything you need to know!
How to Get a FREE Thanksgiving Turkey with Ibotta
Getting your free turkey takes a little more work this year, but if you’re already using Ibotta to save on groceries, it could be worth the effort. The number of qualifying cashback offers you need to complete will depend on your account.
- Download the FREE Ibotta app or sign in to your existing account.
- Look for the Thanksgiving Turkey Bonus in your app and review your requirements.
- Complete the required number of qualifying cashback offers before your bonus expires.
- Once you’ve completed your bonus, your turkey offer for 100% cashback will unlock. Allow up to two hours for it to appear.
- Add the unlocked turkey offer to your list BEFORE shopping.
- Purchase a qualifying turkey and submit your receipt according to Ibotta’s instructions to receive your cashback.
IMPORTANT: Your turkey isn’t automatically free just for signing up, and completing the bonus doesn’t automatically give you cashback. You must first unlock the turkey offer, then purchase an eligible turkey and redeem the offer. Be sure to check your app for your exact requirements and cashback amount!
FREE Thanksgiving Side Dishes Start November 3!
And there’s more! Beginning Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Ibotta plans to release a new Thanksgiving side dish offer for 100% cashback every Tuesday. That’s another opportunity to save on your Thanksgiving dinner without spending a fortune!
These offers will be available in limited quantities, so you’ll want to check your app early and read the requirements before shopping. I’ll update this post as the new Thanksgiving freebies become available, so be sure to check back!
What Kind of Turkey Qualifies?
Good news! You’re not limited to one specific turkey brand. Ibotta’s Thanksgiving promotion includes qualifying whole turkeys, turkey breasts, and turkey roasts weighing at least 3 pounds.
Ground turkey and deli turkey aren’t included, so don’t grab just anything from the turkey section! Check the exact offer in your Ibotta account and scan the product barcode when possible to make sure your purchase qualifies. Your available cashback amount will be shown in the app.
When Does the Ibotta Thanksgiving Offer End?
The turkey cashback offer must be redeemed by November 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. That’s Thanksgiving Day, but I wouldn’t recommend waiting until the last minute to get started!
Your personalized Thanksgiving Turkey Bonus may expire earlier than the turkey offer itself. Check the deadline in your account and give yourself enough time to complete the required cashback offers before shopping for your turkey.
Can Existing Ibotta Members Get a FREE Turkey?
Yes! Existing Ibotta users can participate in the 2026 Thanksgiving promotion by completing the personalized Thanksgiving Turkey Bonus shown in their accounts. You don’t have to refer a friend to qualify this year, which makes things a little easier!
